Music while reading yay, or nay?

Not all folks are like me, I get asked all the time how I can focus on the words I am reading while music is playing.  The answer is simple, the music when chosen wisely, serves as a soundtrack to the images as I read.  The real trick is finding the right music to match the words.  I say words, but really it is more of the tone and feel of the novel. 

Like many others, when I read, the words melt away into images.  I see the faces of the characters, hear their voices, see the places where they are, even if I have little information to go off, and music adds just that little something to the imaginary scene playing before me. 

It can actually help immerse me further, and sometimes, as odd as it may sound, it helps me to read faster, or slow my pace so that I catch each clue that alludes to the climax I am dying to get to.

Or is it just me?
