Challenge Accepted!
A reading challenge is always fun, let’s see if I can reach a goal, say 12 books a year, 16, maybe. But let’s take it up a notch.
If you chose to accept, I give unto you my summer reading challenge! (I know, it’s still May, but nothing wrong with a head start.)
Share which you chose and what books you read and whether you enjoyed this challenge. Chose six and have at it. Extra kudos if you complete the list.
1. Blast in the Past: a book published the year you were born. (1985 for me)
2. We’ve all been there: a book (does not have to be in the romance genre) where the protagonist is the victim of unrequited love.
3. POV madness: a book with many different points of view, either through different characters or written using first and third person interchangeably.
4. Something New: A book outside your typical genre, even better if it is one you typically hate or sneer at.
5. Something borrowed: ask a friend or family member for a book to read, and whatever they give you, you have officially committed to reading that book.
6. Quickie: a book you can read in a day.
7. Ain’t nobody got time for that: a book longer than 500 pages. Come on, you can do it.
8. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa…: a book that was not even close to what you thought it was going to be.
Now, some of these are a little tricky, you can always read a book and put it in a spot where you did not realize it would fit after you finish it. Happy reading my fellow bibliophiles!
