Colors of the Rainbow
Because the stack of must reads is never quite big enough, here is a fun list made entirely of the colors of the rainbow. Some I have read; others are in my ever-expanding TBR list.
The Girl in Red by Christina Henry (a dystopian version of a classic fairytale, I can already feel my fingers itching to turn the page on this one)
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess (not for the faint of heart, as it is a bit intense, okay a lot intense)
Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (this book, judging from the summary will be a good add for looking at the world from a different perspective)
The Green Mile by Stephen King (have the tissues ready)
Sacre Bleu by Christopher Moore (ok I cheated slightly with blue, but to be fair, bleu is French for blue, also this man has comedic satire chops that surpass them all and is a good change of pace from the dark and sinister side of life)
The Color Purple by Alice Walker (I have seen the film many times, and I really need to read the book, because while the film is amazing, the book is always better, so I can imagine this book must be)
The two hardest colors to find were yellow and orange. I was having trouble with orange and then saw one right there on my bookcase.
